LANDMARK restaurant (formerly LANDMARK Steakhouse) in Corona del Mar reopened May 8, after a renovation of the restaurant and restyling of the menu.

Owner Mario Marovic brought on Executive Chef Sabre Kennedy (formerly of Fleming’s Steakhouse and Silvera’s) to create a unique, yet traditional menu that integrates the best of contemporary California cuisine with island fusion.

Kennedy, a native of Hawaii, outdid himself with the menu innovations, presenting a rich, diverse selection. Because of his island training, Kennedy is renowned for his fish preparation, and if the sea bass is any indication, he is a master.

The exceptional product quality is evident in the taste, texture and presentation of every item. The smoked salmon bruschetta and the crab cakes were off the charts.

Kennedy worked with multiple sommeliers, wineries and distributors to craft an innovative wine list to complement the new menu. Again, they were spot-on, featuring many of my favorite all-time vintners. more...
